This week’s question of the week is: Would you like to see a different animation style used for the DTV specials?

  1. I would like to see a very realistic style or a high quality anime style.

But if not those, then they could at least stop with the flesh colored eyeballs. I mean, come on. That was done back in the day because everything was hand drawn and painted. It saved time and money. But even 13GSD, a low-budget production, had Daphne with white eyes. Nowadays there's no excuse for it other than "nostalgia", which anyone old enough to have nostalgia has gotten way past ever since they changed the format.

And stop manking Daphne tan. She's a redhead for cryin' out loud.

  2. I actually like the flesh colored eyes. It's less because of nostalgia and more because I consider it almost a trademark of Hanna-Barbera cartoons. So I prefer they keep them.

To answer the question I would rather they keep the same style for the DTV specials for a little while longer, but not forever. Each era of Scooby has had a unique animation style to it, so I expect in a few years it will evolve into the next thing. I would guess CGI will be next in the pipeline. But for the time being I'm perfectly happy with the animation and hope we get at least a few more years of this style.

  4. I wouldn't say it's mostly full of lies. It can be quite accurate about a number of things, but when it comes to movies still in development you're right, it's mostly lies and misinformation. The real problem is that being user edited every time a rumor pops up fans interpret it as fact leading to a lot of misinformation. However once the movie is out the site manages to be pretty accurate.

I will say though 2014 is a pretty reasonable date for releases with as long as it's been in development.

  5. WrestleMania 30 is around then, it's a pretty safe bet it'll be out around March/April.
