Would You Do It For A Bat-Cookie?
Hello everyone. Well, I haven’t had much time to update the blog the past few weeks other than a few news stories here and there. As you probably noticed, I am testing out a new theme for the blog. The other theme I was using was becoming too constricting. Let me know what you think in the comments below. I’ve also updated the Gallery with new images for Episodes Three and Six of Mystery Incorporated.
Some pretty awasome news came out of Comic Con a few weeks back. ComicsOnline had a chance to interview Andrea Romano, voice director for Batman: Brave and the Bold, who mentioned that there will be a new Scooby Doo/Batman crossover in a upcoming episode of Brave and the Bold. Being a big Batman fan, this is actually something I’ve been wanting to see. I think Brave and the Bold is the perfect oppertunity to do a Bats/Scooby crossover{something that wouldn’t really have worked on the previous two animated Batman series}. Stay tuned and I’ll post more on this when it becomes available. Same Bat-Time! Same Bat-Channel! Er..sorry, had to do it.
We’re only six episodes into Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated, and I gotta say, this show keeps getting better and better. I’m really liking the darker tone of this series. The villians, for the most part, have actually been creepy, something I think was missing from What’s New Scooby Doo, which was more on the silly side. A couple of the mysteries were predictable, but otherwise the mysteries have been pretty decent, and the Mr. E storyline actually seems to be going somewhere. They’ve been able to strike a nice balance between the spooky tone and the humor. The humor is really great too. I think this is the funniest Scooby has ever been. I’m loving all the nods to past Scooby shows. The Vincent Van Ghoul cameo in the latest episode was awasome, and they got a pretty decent replacement for Vincent Price too. I was very happy to see the flashback to the Creeper episode from Scooby Doo, Where Are You!, especally since the Creeper is my favorite Scooby Doo villian.
Ok, I have one huge problem with Mystery Incorporated, and that’s Velma. She’s just coming off as really annoying. First she tries to change Shaggy’s apperance and what not, and then she destroys a couple grave stones. What?? The Velma of previous incarnations would never do such a thing, Not exactly what I wanted from the Shaggy/Velma relationship.
Anyway, that’s all I got for now. Talk to you all later.
yeah, i hated that too. I was hoping for much more in this velma. bummer.
i recently painted velma and shag together....both much hotter than normal.
check it.
