Would you have liked to see a third live action movie directed by Raja Gosnell? Or a sequel to The Mystery Begins/Curse of the Lake Monster?

  1. You tell me there is a new Scooby movie, I will pay for it and love it like it is my own child!

  2. Sequel to the theatrical movies, no. Sequel to the TV movies, yes. I like the theatrical movies, I do, but I like my Mystery Incorporated to be teenage sleuths rather than sad adults that mostly serve as a satire. The first movie I liked (Even though it did dumb down the characters quite a bit), but the second one was misguided and repeated too much. I lack interest in seeing that concept go any further than it did.

The TV movies I thought were legitimately good and compelling. Granted I wasn't a fan of the real monster use (As every live action movie has carried that plot line). Even so I thought it was well acted and well thought out. And I liked that they didn't rigidly follow the show like the other movies tried to. They stayed true to the spirit of it while making it something new and different. If they gave us a sequel with a more classic mystery (Like realestate fraud with a guy in a rubber mask) than I would watch that.

  3. I wouldn't mind at all. Anything new is fine with me, although the original SD cast does not look at all like what they used to.

  4. I love the Raja Gosnell films. They gave us the nostalgia we needed while taking the characters whom we love in a completely new direction. Gosnell took risks. This is something Levant failed to do. He did with Scooby exactly what he did with the Flinstones. In fact, many of the sequences in Mystery Begins are identical to sequences in the Flinstones film. I love the cast of both cinema and TV versions, and I loved the the Mystery Begins, however, the Curse of the Lake Monster was horrible. I'd take a sequel to the Raja Gosnell films any day, especially if Sarah Michelle Geller and Linda Cardellini are in it. I love them.

  5. I think the casting was much stronger with the Gosnell films. The overall plot lines and the secondary character building themes in them were very good - what really threw the films off were the potty humor moments. When it wasn't focused on toilet humor, the comedic moments were pretty strong. The TV movies were better in this regard, and the character building was also fairly well done - it was just weakly written and kinda poorly casted.
