“Scooby-Doo! Shaggy’s Showdown” Coming In 2017
A new trailer and clip have appeared online for “Scooby-Doo! Shaggy’s Showdown“, the next direct-to-video animated film. This looks to be the rumored western-themed movie that has been floating around the interwebs for a few years now. The official description is as follows:
When the Scooby gang visits a dude ranch, they discover that it and the nearby town have been haunted by a ghostly cowboy, Dapper Dan, who fires real fire from his fire irons. The mystery only deepens when it’s discovered that the ghost is also the long lost relative of Shaggy Rogers!
Only the digital version is available for pre-order at the moment{Amazon and Google Play links}. Google lists the release date as February, so the DVD should be released around late-February to early-March. A Blu-ray release is in question, as the trailer only mentions DVD and Digital HD. Another thing of note is that Kate Micucci is listed in the cast list. Mindy Cohn tweeted a few months ago that she would be return as the voice of Velma. But it seems Micucci will be voicing the character for the foreseeable future.
