My favorite thing in 2013 was the SDMI finale. It was surprising and well worth the wait. A close second was Stage Fright, it was definitely a solid movie.
For 2014 I'm most looking forward to new information on the theatrical movie that was announced this year. I'm really curious what style of animation they'll use (My bet is CGI animation).
I loved "Stage Fright"!!! SDMI was fantastic, and "The Missing Map" was so much fun! Looking forward to "Wrestlemania Mystery" and "Scooby-Doo: 13 Spooky Tales Love of Snack" and anything else that comes out!

Scooby-Doo: Wrestlemania Mystery is listed on Amazon as coming out March 25, 2014. Yeah!
2013: Definitely the SDMI finale and the Halloween special.
2014: WrestleMania Mystery and any new specials.
I hope that there is going to be a new Scooby Doo! series I just made this one up it's about Scooby Doo! go to the future I don't have a plot for the episode 1 yet but its fan fiction but don't know it will be well do but what im hoping for is the new Scooby Doo! theatrical movie and I hope it will be SDMI art look in the series.
I'd like to see a next generation series featuring the gangs' kids.
here's my idea for the next generation for Scooby-Doo:
Fred and Daphne's son Frank solves mysteries with Shaggy and Velma's identical twin daughters Mindy and Nicole and son Casey.
Frank takes after Fred in almost every way, looks and personality. He is tall and athletic with blue eyes and reddish blond hair. Typically his attire consists of a blue shirt with a purple collar and a green ascot and blue jeans. He has his father's love of traps which he developed at a very young age using that skill to capture himself his first pet, a rabbit. Traits he inherited from Daphne include his unbridled optimism, his devotion to his girlfriend (Mindy) and the ability to comfort others.Mindy and Frank are madly in love with each other. Wherever one is the other is never far behind.
Mindy is an amalgam of both Shaggy and Velma, as is Nicole. Identical in almost every way, the Rogers twins have both inherited their mother's genius intellect as well as their father's appetite and cowardice. There are of course a few differences.
Mindy like her mother is quiet, analytical and snarky. Having been taught how to hack by Velma from an early age, she can access any internet database on earth without leaving a trace. Having inherited Shaggy's appetite, she like Nicole is always seen with large amounts of food. Unlike her sister however she has inherited Shaggy's metabolism as well. Like her mother she is five feet four inches tall and weighs 110 lbs. Her usual wardrobe consists of a green turtleneck with orange sleeves, a green pea coat, and brown jeans. Like their mother Mindy and Nicole have vivid green eyes and brown hair and wear glasses.
Nicole like her father is goofy and clowning as a way of coping with her cowardice. While her sister learned how to hack, Nicole learned the art of disguise from Shaggy. Having not inherited her father's metabolism to temper her appetite, she is quite fat at almost 350 lbs. Despite her weight, she like her sister and mother is quite attractive and is quite agile. She is usually seen wearing a white blouse with a green sweater and brown jeans. She like her father and sister is a talented cook. She is usually seen with her younger brother who looks and acts exactly like their father and Scooby's granddaughter Scoutie-Doo.
Casey is basically Shaggy Jr.
The new gang is often assisted by Frank's younger sister Heather and Casey's girlfriend Cadence Mackenzie.
The original gang can never resist joining in on their kids' fun either. Shaggy now works as a successful cartoonist and provides his son and daughters with advice on evading danger. Velma now works in the local crime lab and is usually willing to analyze whatever clues Mindy brings her way. She has also written two series of popular mystery novels one by herself and the other with Daphne. Season one would have her be pregnant with a fourth child. Fred is of course ecstatic that his son has picked up his interest in traps and often helps him improve upon his skill. Now an investigative reporter Daphne is often able to provide the kids with new leads in many cases.
^ No offence, but I hate these unrealistic fanons. You might as well just write these yourself because it will never become a reality. A next generation of SDMI is more realistic and even that will never happen. If they did continue SDMI though (which seems highly doubtful (it's finished, end of story)), then I'd prefer just see a regular sequel with them solving mysteries in college.
Yeah, that's a series idea that wouldn't happen. Ever.
There's really no point in introducing a new set of characters that are essentially the same as the old ones. I mean there's nothing particularly new or interesting about that setup or characters. Envisioning a new generation is fine and all, but you might want to work on making these characters more unique rather than just utilizing the already existing personalities and looks of their parents.
Geez, thought I was on fanfiction dot net at first.
Anyway, 2013 was a bad year for everything, and Scooby was no exception. Disliked just about everything Scooby related last year. The Stage Fright opening theme song was good and catchy though. I liked that.
Shaggy and Velma having kids? Like that will ever happen.
Looks like a 6th 13 Spooky Tales DVD, including the Goal special, is on its way.

Thanks for the news, but I think I'll pass on buying that special. It's about as boring as you can get for a storyline. It's funny that it says it's "out of stock".
In 2013 it was all about SDMI. Made me a Scooby fan again and I am now addicted to it. I must watch at least one a day.
Not really interested in the wrestle mania one but I am sure I will rent it. Feature film will be great.
In 2014 just hoping for something SDMI related. The fact that Tom Cervone says "never say never" leaves me hopeful for a SDMI direct to DVD movie although it seems like the kind of show that could get picked up on Netflix. Maybe that's just wishful thinking.
Now it says it's out...
Scooby and the gang should solve mysteries with Thomas the Tank Engine and all his Friends from the Island of Sodor
