Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc To Return In May 2012!

176

We finally have a return date for Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. According to the Warner Bros. website, season two of Mystery Incorporated will premiere in May 2012.

Of course, it’s crazy that we have to wait almost a whole year after the first season ended to see new episodes. But honestly, this doesn’t surprise me. Cartoon Network seems to do the same thing with their other shows. And on the bright side, at least we know when the show is coming back.

  1. I admit I am a little curious as to where they're going to go with this now that Mystery Inc is "dead" as (Blank) Chiles put it, and now that Fred is technically no longer in this series. A friend told me that his name will be Michael Geoff Chiles, a reference to the two original characters that Fred was based on.

This does seem like a long time to make these episodes. Especially seeing as how they started on them before the last episodes aired.

  2. It was actually tweeted that they are currently working on episode 52 so it appears that cartoon network is deleying it. Maybe they'll air in canada (teletoon) first like they did for episodes 14-26. anyways Ive been waiting since june so I'm really excited!

  3. @PegasusCoconut That's probably what will happen, but I don't see why they would want to do that. People in Canada can upload those episodes to Youtube within a day, in which case those in other countries can watch the episodes and the TV showings will get less ratings. What they should do is air the episodes on the same day in each country.

I seriously doubt they'll change his name that much. Plus maybe Fred was his real first name anyway. Personally though I wouldn't care if they changed his last name (After all nobody had last names in the original series, and in Shaggy's case no proper name at all).

  5. ^I read they already have for the new season.

It wouldn't make sense for them to keep calling him Fred. If he was given up by the Chiles' at age two then that means he was likely given a different name and he has his birth registered in some other town. But if Brad and Judy did name him Fred, then that would at least allow everyone else to call him that, yes.

You thought you wouldn't care if they changed his last name? Are you saying you care about that now? I would think everyone would. This basically means Fred Jones isn't in this version. It's a new character based on Fred Jones. This also means that the Fred/Daphne thing hasn't been developed at all in this series. She's been with a different character this whole time.

  6. "What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."

A name doesn't mean much. Fred is Fred regardless of what his legal name may be. It's not a new character based on Fred Jones, it's the same Fred we've always known, just with an identity crisis. Plus take a step back and realize how ridiculous it sounds to say a character isn't a character just because of a name change. He looks like Fred, acts like Fred, sounds like Fred, so all clues point to this being the Fred we've always known.

Like I said, I don't care if they change the last name, after all none of them had last names until the 80's. This show likes to change canon (Coolsville is now Crystal Cove), changing his name doesn't discredit his existence or validity as a character. It's just a name... Plus WB probably won't allow them to change Fred's name completely or permanently, after all its all about brand recognition.

  7. It's a kids show. It's not that big of a deal to keep him called Fred Jones. He is Fred Jones. They won't change the name. You're putting too much thought into this.

Granted the entire MI crew is a little different than how we've seen them before. Their families are all different. But that's the point of the reboot.

Regardless, his name will stay in tact and Fred will be back with the gang, and scooby and shaggy will be out of the military before we know it

  8. So they'll keep calling him Fred even if his name isn't Fred and that name was only given to him by his kidnapper, and he will still be the Fred Jones of later seasons even though he's not really Fred Jones?

    *Shrugs* If you say so.

About the military school thing, I would think Shaggy wouldn't even actually make it there. Like, he'd ditch the ride there and run off on his own. But then again that would deprive us the oppertunity to laugh at him with a buzz cut and getting picked on by all the other students.

I can't imagine the next episode including all members of the gang. They'll probably start out with Scooby trying to get each member back into the group. I would think that he would start out with Shaggy, since they're so close, BUT I think what they might actually do is have Scooby seek out Velma first. She's the only one still at her house (other than Daphne who will probably be a shut-in for now) and she's the smartest of the group so she'll know where they sent Shaggy and how to save him.

This might even be how they restart Shelma. If she helps Scooby save Shaggy then Scooby will appreciate her, and thus won't mind her dating Shaggy.

  9. I agree cuz if the whole Shelma thing will be back to where it should be, so should the whole Fraphne thing cuz this past year, there's an X rated parody movie called "Scooby-Doo: A Parody" It's about Shaggy trying to find Scooby. So he enlisted the gang to look for him and solving a mystery. But along with that, Fred & Daphne make love right in front of Shaggy & Velma. I thought it was cool, but when the gang were in a "haunted house", they had to hide from a monster and Danger Prone Daphne found the monster. While that happened, Shaggy & Velma were making love before Fred found them half naked and the monster forcing Daphne to have a sexual confutation to Velma and the gang hided again, only this time, they shared their partners with one another by making love. I for one disagree on that because Fred and Daphne are meant to be Fraphne and as for Shaggy and Velma, they are meant to be Shelma. After that, Scooby calls Shaggy via cellphone and tell him that he's ok & the monster was unmasked by the gang and the police where there was money in the bathroom next door where Shaggy & Velma made love.

  10. "...there was money in the bathroom next door where Shaggy & Velma made love."

So... that was the money shot then?

Well, that was quite the gripping tale Sheyla. 9_9

As for romantic pairings, I always thought Shaggy and Daphne were the most compatible and looked best together. Fred and Velma after them. The opposites have never seemed to work, in my humble opinion. Mystery Incorporated especially, though technically it's not Frephne since "Fred" isn't really Fred.

  11. As far as the gang getting back together, I'm guessing that Scooby will have to escape from the animal asylum, where they about to "sent him to a nice farm". He will go to Velma, who feels guilty like everything is her fault and try to comfort her. The two will go to rescue shaggy from military school. Scooby and Velma will then start to understand each other better and there will be some sort of life saving exchange with Velma and shaggy in similar vein to "the wild brood" with Velma and Scooby. Meanwhile, daphne will run away from home to find fred and she'll do something to show how much she cares about him (maybe they'll solve a mystery on their own).

At this point I'd like too see The Scooby/Velma/Shaggy trio join forces with Mr E and angel. Although Mr E has been a jerk lately, maybe they'll find some way for him to redeem himself (Like maybe they seek out angel first and there is a big flashback about how Pericles betrayed E in the caves when he joined the freak. I'd also like to see some of the things in "Menace of the manticore" explained. Mr E said "everything will work out just fine". What Exactly is E aiming for? And how did he know about the fact that fred was being held hostage? Did he know that the mayor was the freak? If so, how? And Finally, Mr E said that he and angel would be in danger if brad and judy got wind of the disk piece. Maybe some falling out occurred when they all left crystal cove. This would probably lead E to not tell fred and daphne that they are working with him as their loyalty would most likely be toward brad and judy.

As far as Ed Machine, like many other fans, I suspect he is a robot and that pericles rewired him. This would lead to a fun mystery taking place at Destroido.
After this fred and daphne will probably rejoin the rest of the gang not knowing they are working with Mr E. After a few episodes, they will locate fred's real dad (brad) and he will tell them of the stories of how exactly he gave up fred and his side of the falling out of mystery incorporated. Many fan want to know how exactly the mayor was able to gat away with kidnapping fred. And what a twist would it be if it turned out that Alice May was actually fred's mom (judy). I know she seems young, but remember in "the legand of alice may" the alice may face was also a mask. She could be spying on E and Angel for brad and herself and then tell brad that Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby are working with Mr E. This would cause some drama in the gang but Hopefully it would get worked out before the middle of season 2, so the second half could be about chasing pericles and the treasure.

I hope that the weird things pericles collected in "Where walked Aphrodite" tie into the mystery revolving around the treasure. I hope there is a mayflower autumn fest themed episode with the hex girls returning that revolves around the conquistadors' story about how they hid their treasure. And gatorsburg could tie into the mystery too (E said it was "one piece of the puzzle") Also, I know I'll get bashed for this but what if mayor jones turns out to be a good guy. I know what he did makes him almost as bad as pericles, I don't know why, maybe it's cause he saved fred's life, maybe cause he let them out of prison when he didn't have too and maybe it's cause he truly does feel guilty, I mean, why else would he stare at a magazine cutout, he didn't know fred was looking so he obviously has some feelings. It happens all the time in cartoons so what makes this one any different? Maybe he's part of a secret civilization living underneath crystal cove that needs the treasure to survive. Who knows, Maybe he'll give up his life to save the gang. I'm just guessing on whats been hinted though, I'm not saying at all that he's a good guy right now.

Finally, the theory of the two freaks. This one isn't my own theory here it is, I found it on tv tropes:

The Freak of "Pawn of Shadows" and the Freak of "All Fear the Freak" are not the same.
Think about it. In Pawn of Shadows, the original Mystery Incorporated is led to the old church by the Freak, presumably so that they would find the scroll - meaning that the Freak knew it was there, and that it wanted them to find it. In All Fear the Freak, the Mayor claimed that he disguised himself as the Freak in order to search for the Planospheric Disc, but he found nothing. It was through the original Mystery Incorproated that he found the scroll, when they came to him with it looking for answers, meaning he didn't know it was in the Spanish church. Also, remember the Freak's little poem from the beginning of Pawn of Shadows? "From six to one, the spell is spun. No time, to run, the curse begun."? There are six pieces of the Planoshperic Disc in total, but only one in the chest underneath the church, and this is clearly referencing that fact. However, Professor Pericles clearly had no idea, and was expecting all six peices to be there in the chest. Keep in mind that, at this point, he'd teamed up with the Mayor in exchange for his information, indicating that the Mayor had no idea, either. Could the Mayor have been withholding information from him? Perhaps, but that would mean that he was disguised as the Freak when he led the original Mystery Incorporated to the church and recited that poem, and that would mean that he knew the location of the scroll, which is clearly not the case. And speaking of the poem, why did the Freak's pattern of speech suddenly change between episodes? In Pawn of Shadows he speaks in rhymes, but in All Fear the Freak he can't even put a sentence together. What gives? And what happened to that sword? As for why there would be two Freaks, after the Mayor was accepted to Darrow University's History Department as a professor, he discovered more about the lost conquistadors. What if the Freak is part of that legend or story or whatever, and served as the inspiration for the Mayor's disguise? The Freak's attire certainly resembles something from the time period of the conquistadors.
Also, and this is just my opinion, it's pretty clear that the Mayor is searching for the treasure out of greed, but it seems to me that the Freak in Pawn of Shadows is slowly but deliberately leading others to the treasure. Perhaps those who find the treasure will unleash that curse that will destroy Crystal Cove, and that is the Freak's ultimate goal? After Fred announces that they're going to find the treasure and get to the bottom of everything, the Freak recites his second, and last, poem, "The curse begun, but soon they'll see. The buried truth will end with me.".

  12. Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated! (New Episodes) Wednesdays 5.30pm
Check out the SDMI website on CN. That's what it says! 😀 Is this for real or are they screwing with me?

  13. Well, seeing as how, during one of their longer hiati, CN posted a similar schedule proclaiming the arrival of new episodes months before they actually arrived, then... yes, they prolly are screwing with you.

  14. I just found out also, I am so excited, and can you guys check out my site too, it has some great news about Scooby + great media

  15. Hello you guys, Ilma back with a lot of news about Scooby. Always before everyone!

The season two, well. The animation is better, Velma is more like a mix of the old style and the new one, she's starting to get "cutter". At the first episode Fred's like Tom Hanks in "Cast Away", and Shaggy's hair is the new joke. At the first episodes he's bald (military school), then... well you'll see. LOL

Hot dog water's on Daphne's place at the first episode, 'cause Daphne's gone. There's a Taylor Lautner look alike character joke. There's a "lesbian thingy" between Velma and Hot dog water (Marcy). The sets are amazing! Even better.

And now, Scooby needs some help in Brazil. The brazilian "Oscar" for voice actors has our Daphne and our Shaggy nominateds as best actors for a tv show. PLEASE vote guys! They're still the same since 1969, they're cute and awesome! ALL you have to do is:
    - Send a mail to "premiodadublagemcarioca@gmail.com"
    - Subject: Votação.
    - And then paste it and send it:

1 - Melhor ATOR em dublagem de 2011: MARIO MONJARDIM (Salsicha)
    - Título da produção (filme ou série): "SCOOBY DOO - MISTÉRIO S.A."
    - Exibido em: TV

2 - Melhor ATRIZ em dublagem de 2011: JURACIARA DIÁCOVO (Daphne Blake)
    - Título da produção (filme ou série): "SCOOBY DOO - MISTÉRIO S.A."
    - Exibido em: TV

PLEASEEE! Thank you guys! If the owners could put it as a post, it would be awesome!

  16. Woah woah woah Ilma, what is this I don't even...

Did you say a "lesbian thingy" between Velma... and HDW? HDW, the same girl who was arrested for an idiotic monster plan? The same girl who was Velma's SWORN ENEMY and one of the few sympathetic characters on this God-forsaken mess of a show?

And Fred as a Tom Hanks-ish 'Cast Away' parody? And jokes with Shaggy without any hair? What is- I mean it - it's all so - asdfghjkl;. I don't even know where to BEGIN with the wrongness (i.e. morality and fairness in respect to the characters and their long legacy) of all of this. And I thought this show couldn't fail any harder if it tried to.

Although I do wish a congratulations to such dedicated voice actors, and I hope they win, THIS SHOW, it - If I try to describe my feelings towards it, I will rage uselessly and probably make some of the fans of this show angry. I don't want to start a flame war or anything. It's just - when did Scooby Doo EVER need immature and unrealistic teen drama in order for it to be a good show? Does anyone still remember SDWAY, or WNSD, or 13GSD? Those shows didn't have this drama, and they were fun to watch. In fact, I think I'll rewatch them to make myself feel better, so as not to start any flame wars over this show, because I have had far too much drama involving this show's writing, and I don't want any more of it.

  17. I agree with Fantoma. If that is how it goes down in the new season, I will have to rage against it.

I expected them to make fun of Shaggy's military cut. Predictable. I also guessed right that Velma would be feeling guilty, but... cutting? As in self inflicted cuts to make physical pain drown out emotional pain? Cutter, as in the psychological disorder? I hope this isn't literal.

And a "lesbian thingy"? I hope you're mistaken on this, because that would be beyond the regular level of inappropriateness for this show.

Hotdog Water is back? The girl who tried to murder different members of the gang by picking them up and dropping them from a high altitude? She's out of jail? How? Why? Are we to expect more unrealistic and poorly explained storylines?

Why would the character formerly known as Fred be like Tom Hanks in Cast Away? I thought that's how he got when Daphne was captured. When he left he seemed really determined and focused.

Daphne ran away? Unexpected. I thought she would be a shut-in after what happened. If anything I thought Shaggy would run away to avoid military school, but I knew they couldn't resist making fun of his situation. But if Daphne's gone, then does that mean she won't be in the first few episodes?

I wish the Brazilian Shaggy and Daphne VAs luck, but it wouldn't be fair to vote for them having not heard them before. Plus I don't know who the other nominees are. They might deserve it more for all I know.

  18. I think it's because she's a translator who converts the English versions of the episodes into Spanish. From there the voice actors read the translated scripts for the Spanish speaking audiences. So obviously the translators need to get the episodes first so that the episodes can be "dubbed" into another language.

    Likes(0)Dislikes(0)
  19. Not necessarily. There will be a LOT of recordings and re-recordings and new translations, in order to try and achieve a somewhat agreeable lipsync. But in order to know what to lipsync, they will need a copy of the animation, which takes a LONG time to do and longer to polish.

    Likes(0)Dislikes(0)
  20. I doubt it will premiere in a Spanish speaking country, but in order for other countries to air the episodes each one must first have the script translated then read by the voice actors. This process takes time, and so these recording studios must get the episodes before they air on TV. That is, unless the producer doesn't care that the episodes air later in other countries. If they want each country to have similar airdates, then the above is what they must do. Ilma, I suspect, has seen the episodes because she plays a role in their translation or dubbing process. Of course only Ilma can answer this for certain.

As for SDMI, I would guess that it would air in Canada before airing in the United States, just like the last thirteen episodes did. But if WB were smart, they would have the episodes air in all of their broadcast locations simultaneously. Otherwise they'll get people recording it off Teletoon in Canada and then posting it to Youtube for people in the states to watch early, thus detracting from Cartoon Network's ratings. However, the delay in CN's airing of the show may have been caused by the contract dispute CN had with WB.

  21. "The 13th Ghost" is right. But not Spanish, Portuguese. BRAZIL anyone!? Bitches, please.

The Tom Hank's thingy is not into his personality, but the visual, big hair, big beard, like a real "cast away"... And then at the second episode the gang find Fred's house perfectly clean, and wonder how's that possible after all this time closed, and then Fred's real mom and dad appears for the first time. Cute. And YES, everything I said was just true: but to explain the "lesbian thingy", is veeery smooth, only the oldder ones will see. Velma tells her (Marcy - HDW) she's not needed anymore now that Daphne's back, then when she's going away Velma's like: "Marcy, wait! What...?" and Marcy: "Nothing Velma, I thought you and I had a... forget."... and goes all sad. Something like that. The episodes seems nice, I can't watch them in order. I watch them like: Daphne's scenes with Daphne's voice actress, then Fred's scenes with Fred's voice actor, then Velma's. . . That's the way it is. And they'll be premiering in Brazil at same date. ANd YES you can vote for then, they deserve it! The brazilian voice actors of Scooby Doo are even in Guiness! It's the only place in world with the same gang from 1969 to NOW! And their voice's still the same. So cute! Our Scooby's 93 years old! The best! He's the inspiration for Frank Welker's new style (kinda different from Don Messick, more deep).

  22. Hey llma, when you say 'And they’ll be premiering in Brazil at same date' I don't suppose you happen to know a rough date for this do you. Even if it's just May, I just want a confermation on the date. It's cool if you don't know. Thanks for all the info, I know you can't post much more than what you already have, but I do really appreacite it.

  23. Hey, I wonder if Sherrif Stone will still be with us in Season 2? I really hope so. It's such a pity the Mayor wont be in Season 2. His voice actor was really good. Even if we only get some scenes in Jail with him, I would really love for him to come back. Anyone, it seems far to long till May.

  24. Lima, thanks for sharing with us! I think it's going to ROCK!! 😀

Can I ask you one thing though? Is there any Fraphne? (I'm a big fan..) Or Shelma?

    Likes(0)Dislikes(0)
  25. ^Technically there is no Frephne in this series at all since it's not Fred Jones but rather ??? Chiles. I hear his real name is going to be Michael, based off one of the original Mysterys Five characters he was based on.

  26. That is very true!! I hope people continue to call him Fred! I like that better!
I'm hoping that there is still some relationship between the members & it won't end up like the second (forth live action) show. Where they all stay "just friends". I mean they seriously need to grow up some. Or is it just me?

Point is Lima, do the charters carrying on their relationships? 🙂

  27. That's true!! I hope they still call him by Freddie, that sounds better. (But, that's just me)

Lima, I guess my question is, do the members of MI carry on the relationships? 🙂

    Likes(0)Dislikes(0)
  28. I hope they call him Fred too, but it wouldn't make much sense in that case. *Sigh* I wish they hadn't gone that route with it to be honest.

I'm sure the gang will still call him Fred, but his parents probably won't. Will he tell them he wants to keep his false name then? And how will they react to that? Fred Jones was the one who took their child away from them.

I prefer not to see them in relationships with each other. It distracts from the show and it feels like it doesn't have any place. It feels like WB is just putting it in there for no reason other than to have it, or to make the show different.

I could accept it maybe if they were serious about it. But more often than not it just seems like they're making fun of the characters by having them in goofy and unrealistic relationships. It just seems awkward, and I think the fans who want there to be pairings want the relationships to be well done and more realistic.

    Likes(0)Dislikes(0)
  29. I'm very curious to see how this will all play out. And what Freda reaction will be to his parents. Also their side of the story, & the clues about the treasure, since apparently, according to Mr.E it's dangerous for them to have a disk piece. Or so he said.

I'm also REALLY curious to see what Cassidy & Ricky will think aboutThe Freak being trapped & thrown in jail. Or were they somehow working together? I wonder who truly will end up being the "bad guy" in it all. For some reason Angel comes to my mind.

I see what you mean about the relationships, it is very true. I would love for the relationships to get a little more senseable & reasonable. If Fred (Mike or whomever) continue on with their engagement ill be one happy fan! Just to finally see this move on the way so many imagined it would!

  30. None that I have heard of Ross. I'm hoping (like all fans) that we'll hear about one SOON! So far Lima has been are greatest help for sneak peeks.

  31. Ross, the article says it's coming back in May, not March.

I wonder about the original Mystery Inc. If Brad and Judy were told to leave Crystal Cove and never return or else The Freak would humiliate their parents, then why did Brad and Judy return AFTER giving birth to their son? Why would you go back to a town like that with your child? And why would they leave their child there? Wouldn't they rather flee again with their child and take their chances protecting him themselves?

About Mr. E, I wonder how Mayor Jones was able to dupe a guy who is supposed to be so smart all that time. Mr. E had all kinds of spy stuff and technology funded by Destroido Corp. How did Mayor Jones get the better of him? Why couldn't E figure out who The Freak was, especially with Angel's help?

My theory is that Mr. E did figure out who The Freak was, but by that time he figured it would be better to use him to find the other puzzle pieces. But in this case it means he's evil, because there would be no reason for him not to let Brad and Judy know who has their son.

In short, they've got a lot of explaining to do.

  32. I really do wonder what Fred will think of his parents not coming back for him. Knowing the show from the first season, they'll probably never mention it. :p But, then again, Fred was furious about 'The Freak' faking as his father. Even when The Mayor said "I raised you." Fred just replies "You used me." & took off. So he could get upset, you never know.

I also wonder if they will include the mayor in any of the season 2 episodes. If the gang will go back to jail to visit him or anything like that, I mean for re-search purposes not because they miss him. Although, they wouldn't need to finding Brad & Judy. If they know who MR. E is they could possibly tell the second MI gang. Unless the entire original MI is working together to find the treasure. I'm very curious & excited to see what is in store for the second season!

I miss Lima giving us hints & clues though. lol

  33. Yeah I looked on Teletoon and CN as well as a regular search of the net. There is like, zero news about the new season.

  34. There are so many questions, I'm lost.

I don't know, Fred go on his own trip to find his "answers" and come back to Crystal Cove like Tom Hanks in "Cast Away" with huge hair and beard. Of COURSE he's still Fred, there's not even ONE character pretending to call him with a different name. I've already told you, at the first episodes, Daphne's away and there's something like one affair with a Taylor Lautner's face character (maybe his voice too, I don't recognize) and she dumped him.

Fred's parents come back to home now that the "freak" is gone and the "curse" is over (that's what they think). Velma has a new boyfriend. I think that's it! Wait and see it guys!

    XOXO

  35. First off: Yay. Velma will no longer be connected to Shag, although I do wonder if she's just using this new guy as sort of a "Look at me! Look how happy I am without you and with this other new awesome guy!" thing. Sad that Daphne doesn't move on from Fred though. You know, the man-child who broke her heart after breaking off their crack engagement in front of all their friends and family before telling her that his relationship with his friends (including Daphne) is dead? Yeah, that.

Second: No one? Really? No one calls Fred by a different name? Not even his BIRTH PARENTS? WTH? The fact that he doesn't complain about still being called the junior of the man who essentially kidnapped him from his naturally family at birth is worse though. And a beard. A BEARD. I just - it's so - I mean - a frickin' BEARD, man. That's just... weird.

And third: What about Shag & Scoob? And the Mayor? What happens to them?

It's sad that I care this much about a stomach-curdling series (at least, in my experience), but this has caused me too many moments of confusion and WTF-ery that I must nitpick and make it suffer in return. I think that's more than fair. Don't you?

  36. Thanks for responding Lima! I'm so stinking excited it's CRAZY. 🙂
I really like the way this season sounds! It's gonna be amazinggg.

I'm upset that Velma isn't with Shaggy. 🙁 Oh he didn't deserve her anyways, though that one episode when he asked her to get back together & she said no..sadness. Can't blame her though.

I soooooooo hope that Fred & Daphne get married!! We'd finally being seeing some process here1 THEY'RE FINALLY GROWING UP! YAY moment..ahem.

    I'm excited.

  38. So if "Fred" goes off to find his own answers and then comes back, does that mean he found his answers? Well, he knows what happened already, so wouldn't he just have questions for his parents as to why they left him and didn't try to come back for him?

About his hair and beard, that would be really lame if it's real. But if he comes back and the others are surprised by it then he just takes it off like a wig and fake beard and just says, "Yeah and I found this cool disguise while I was away too", then I think that might actually be pretty funny.

As for him still be "Fred", it doesn't makes sense. That was the name given to him by his kidnapper. His parents wouldn't call him that, and I can't see him wanting to be called that either. Unless they just happened to name him "Fred", but even then his last name would still be Chiles. So it's not the Fred Jones from the original Scooby-Doo in any case.

So if Daphne isn't in the first few episodes then is "Fred"? Is this just going to be Scooby, Shaggy, and maybe Velma for the first few episodes?

So Daphne rebounds with a new throw-away character and then she dumps him right after? That doesn't seem to make sense either. If she's hung up on "Fred" then she would be loyal to him, and if she's not, then why some unknown character? Why not Shaggy? At least she knows him. Or is this like another Wild Brood episode where she falls in love for five minutes then calls it off? But in that case, why do it at all? Seems like they're out of ideas.

"Fred's" parents sound pretty dumb. I guess that would explain his condition somewhat, but I was expecting Brad and Judy to be on the same level as Mr. E. and Angel. Like, super sluth detectives/agents or something.

Wow, and Velma has a new boyfriend too? It sounds like the writers are just putting stuff in the show for no reason. Is this going to serve a purpose? Is it even going to go anywhere? I doubt they're going to just add some brand new character to the episodes as if the character is going to become a new addition to the Scooby-Doo gang.

I agree with Fantoma on this one. And that is a good point about Velma possibly using this new boyfriend to make Shaggy feel bad. If so then that will be really depressing to watch because that kind of thing isn't right. It's harmful to both of the young men and it speaks poorly of the girl's character. I also can't see Shaggy being jealous at all. I don't think he should have any interest in Velma, but I've thought that all along.

It is sad that Daphne doesn't move on from "Fred". I was hoping that this was what they were working toward. Showing how wrong they are for each other so they could end it without too many fans being upset. But now it just seems like they are ruing Daphne's character by making her one of those psycho chicks who fall for guys that treat them badly. Not a good example for young girls to watch. Back in the 80's Scooby-Doo episodes Daphne was a role model for girls in how to be strong and bold and how to lead but also be able to rely on and trust your friends.

Like I said before about the beard, it wouldn't make sense unless it was just a fake beard and wig and they would have to present it as a joke. Like the gang is shocked to see him and they ask what happened to him. He goes into a long story about all the hardship, then says while he was away he found this "neat-o" wig and fake beard as he removes them to reveal his familiar face. That's the only thing that I would respect and laugh about. But if it's real... no way. That would indicate a lot of time passing and... testosterone, which "Fred" seems to lack.

Ranting about something you don't like can let out some stress, but I'm not sure if the others here would appreciate it as much as I would.

@DK While I would like to see them grow up... again (the seasons after NSD-Movies counts as they were adults then), having "Fred" and Daphne get married would not really show how grown up they are. Those who are mature don't just decide on something like that without good reasons. Neither one of them actually considered the prospect carefully. Neither of them asked their parents about it or sought their advice. So in reality, if they rush into something like that it will only show how childish they still are.

Also, I never fail to be surprised when I see someone take Velma's side in this whole "relationship" thing between her and Shaggy. I can't think of a single reason to support her in that matter. Perhaps you could share some, if you would like. If not then that's cool.

  39. Didn't you hear? The circus is in town for a new DTV of Scooby-Doo, "Big Top Scooby-Doo!". Here's the link (I don't if it shows the same way as Wikipedia would?): uk.news.yahoo.com/video/scoobydoo-13240984/scooby-doo-big-top-trailer-28166278.html#crsl=%252Fvideo%252Fscoobydoo-13240984%252Fscooby-doo-big-top-trailer-28166278.html.

  49. I came up with some new discussion questions, here they are:

So It's been a really long time since season 1 finished and we haven't even had an official glimpse of the second season. the only thing we have had is these claims from llma that we know are true because she revealed music of the vampire before it was officially revealed. But I miss all the speculation threads because they kept us all entertained as we were waiting. Because of this, I wanted to ask a few questions to raise a few interesting discussion topics:

    1. Shaggy and Velma: what do you think about velma getting a new boyfriend? will this make shaggy more upset after all his troubles in military school? how about all his desperate attempts to try find his own feelings for Velma despite the fact that velma was bossy with him? Did Velma change her approach on shaggy because she saw he was getting hurt by mai lee? Why then, did she turn on him again? I personally think Shaggy needed Velma to back off to realize his feelings for her. I also think she had to "flip" her approach when mai lee came into the picture because she truly cared about him as a friend. What do you think?

    2. Fred and Daphne: Daphne was really there for fred through rough times. How will fed react if he finds out she had an affair while he was gone? Will Daphne's feelings toward fred change after he leaves and breaks off all his connections? Will finding his parents early on in the season change things? I think fred and daphne's relationship was important to feel there was some "relief" to the dark plot. I hope daphne isn't trying to get over fred. Thoughs?

    3. Scooby: Scooby has become more accepting as time goes on of Velma. What he would think if she shaggy got in a relationship again? was Velma trying to "change" shaggy at first the reason for scooby's disapproval? Should scooby get a girlfriend? What will scooby's role be in getting the gang back together? how will he react when he sees pericles again?

    4. Episode 27: based on what the translator said, I have a feeling episode 27 will take place a year later and have fred coming back from his "journey" and scooby will recruit him and Velma to help break shaggy out of military school. possibly hot dog water will be there as well and meanwhile daphne will be with the taylor lautner look alike. how do you think the episode will go?

  50. 1. The Issue with Shaggy and Velma

First off, this relationship was horribly written. The two were in a secret relationship. Velma wanted it to be more public, because she didn't see any reason why their relationship being public was a bad thing. Shaggy saw two. The first issue was Scooby, whose kneejerk reaction was probably going to be frantic, desperate, and over-the-top. Which it was, until he calmed down after teh break-up, thought things through, and tried to apologize to Velma for the trouble he made. The second issue was the parents on both sides. In the first episode - the VERY first episode within FIVE MINUTES - you hear Shaggy's dad ask his son to consider not solving mysteries, and then his mom telling him to FIND NEW FRIENDS because she HATES his current friends. Don't you think that if your OWN PARENTS hated your friends, you would be leery of telling them you happen to be DATING one of them as well?!? And Velma's mother was just as bad. In the episode with the evil Renaissance gnome, Velma's mother continually tells her to keep pushing for what she wants and she'll get it from him. SHE ENCOURAGES VELMA'S HIDEOUS BEHAVIOR OF ACTING PETTY OVER HIS BEST FRIEND. The only reason I can think of - the ONLY reason - for Shaggy wanting to get back together with her in the Headless Horror episode was that time had past, Scooby was okay with the two of them again (if separately), and he wasn't seeing her petty, jealous side which continually tried to change him into something more like Fred; instead, he saw the part of her which was softer and more into solving mysteries and helping people, which was probably what made him ask her out to begin with. Her reaction to this, if it had just been "I need time to think about this, given how much it hurt when you dumped me for Scooby. Looking back on it, I see I was a little out of hand, but you also had some issues, and I think I need to figure out what I want and if a relationship between us is one of those things, or if it would even work," would have been fairly acceptable. Instead, after a literal dozen or so episodes of her complaining and whining over how she got dumped for a dog in an ultimatum SHE created, she just turns around and says "Nope. I have no more feelings for you or any bitterness whatsoever. Toodles" (paraphrased of course). Which she isn't even, because she brings it up AGAIN in the season finale. I understand how she could have grown to want to get rid of the secrecy - I really do - but she had to understand, the situation was incredibly volatile to begin with. I don't think she even wanted to date Shaggy to begin with, I think she just wanted a boyfriend to prove she was mature (like most teenage girls do). If she DID want to date Shaggy, then why on earth did she want to change key attributes to his personality, like: how he ate, how he dressed, how he even SPOKE (and making him punish himself when he didn't follow her rules to a T)? If she really like him for who he was, she would NOT have made him change so aggressively and so completely and so suddenly. If Velma does end up getting a new boyfriend, she'll probably chase him away too. If Shaggy comes back from military school changed like how Velma wants him to be, she might go after him again, only to reject him again when he starts to go back to normal. Shaggy probably will not return to Velma, given his reaction to her turning him down. He was disappointed for a minute, probably realized he was better off without her anyways, and just went on with his life, not obsessing or moaning or complaining or whining. Just shrugged and said Oh Well, maybe she's not meant for me. Doesn't mean I can't stop looking for someone who is.

    2. Fred and Daphne

Oh, what a mess what a mess what a mess. Girl obsessing over guy who barely even acknowledges her existence; when he finally does acknowledge it, he's either incredibly possessive (like when she taunts him by saying she'll go on a date WITH AN ADULT MAN if he won't go on a date with her, or seems interested with an ADULT MAN WHO DRESSES UP IN A GOBLIN OUTFIT REJECTED FROM WORLD OF WARCRAFT), even to the point of mapping out what she does every day at every given moment according to his instructions, OR he is just dismissive and stupid. The changes are so abrupt it's enough to give a girl whiplash just watching it. And if she does date another guy now, it won't be cheating or an affair or any nonsense like that. He broke off their engagement and their relationship at the end of the season to go look for his real parents, whose location he had no idea of, or even where to begin. I really hope her feelings towards him change, but given how the show's gone overall, she'll probably build a widow's balcony (or whatever it is called) to stand and watch for his return every day and night. Their relationship was a horror to watch because the writers honestly though this was how a relationship between teenagers nowadays worked. A bold faced LIE if I ever saw one. Teenagers CAN be melodramatic and are often stupid to some extent, but this is just... what the h#ll, man? It's wrong, wrong, WRONG. Or at least that's my opinion of it.

    3. Scooby

I do believe that Scooby's disapproval of Velma had a LOT to do with her trying to aggressively change Shaggy into someone he clearly wasn't. It gave him the overall opinion that Velma didn't like Shaggy at all, she only liked the potential she had to change him into her ideal beau. He saw this as her trying to get rid of his very best friend in the entire world simply because she could do so for her own purposes, and this made him react really wildly. I think he would only accept Shaggy and Velma getting back together if Velma proved she liked Shaggy for who he was and not tried to change him, or tried to get rid of Scooby (being that he is Shaggy's best friend). Given how adverse she's been to even try to be friends with the guys, even when BOTH of them have apologized to her for how they've acted, I highly doubt this will happen. As for Scooby's role in reuniting the gang, I guess he'll try to find them and talk to them, seeing as how he has the best chance to run away and contact everyone. I can't see any other way he would get the gang back. And Pericles... I would not be surprised if he just attacked him, after everything he's caused.

    4. Season 2 Episode 1

A year later? Actually, that could work. By that time, maybe Daphne will have gotten over Fred, Velma will have sat down and thought over EVERYTHING she's done and feel ready to try and fix what damage she's caused, Blank Chiles will have wised up a little or found his parents, and enough time will have passed for military school to completely break, brainwash, and change him into what he's supposed to be in the military: a perfect soldier. But again, given how badly the writers have performed in past episodes, I have low expectations for the new episodes. They happen to be floating above Lucifer's poker game at the moment. Maybe they'll get up to the Morlock Caves if previews are promising enough. But probably not.

  56. First, thanks to TAS257 for posting all the new info. I was right about Shaggy and their inability to resist putting him in a buzz cut. It also looks like I may be right about Velma getting Shaggy out of the boarding school, thus improving her relationship with Scooby.

@PegasusCoconut Thanks for the new discussion topics.

    1. I think Velma getting a new boyfriend would be a good thing for many reasons. First, it is likely that she would select someone compatible, which Shaggy was not. So in that case it would be a good thing for her. Second, it would help solidify the stance that dating should not take place within the team while the team is still together. They should all just be friends and focus on solving mysteries. This also allows for them to have normal interactions with each other that pertain to the various experiences they have in different places or doing different things. Third, it brings in new characters to interact with the others of the gang. I'm not saying have them as featured characters or even to have them in every episode, just a minute of screen time here and there. Build storylines off them. Fourth, this would have the potential of developing Velma's character in ways we have never seen her. How does she react to a guy that she is interested in? Is she shy? Is she nervous? Does she fumble over her words, or does she retain her linguistic eloquence?

I don't think this will affect Shaggy negatively. He tried to rekindle the relationship when he saw that Velma could be considerate and compassionate, but she thought it best to stay friends. Shaggy was disappointed, but not hurt. I think he would feel good about her finding a guy she is happy with and who can fulfill what she is looking for. I think Velma realized how bad of a friend she was, and that is why she flipped. I think she should keep being a good friend to Shaggy and the others as well.

    2. Daphne put up with a lot, both the problems that Blank had to face and the problems arising from Blank himself. If Blank finds out that she's dating a real man, he will probably run away again and feel that Daphne left him just like his parents did. The only other thing I can see happening is that he gets man and tries to convince her to stay with him. I doubt Blank sees HIS leaving HER as an issue. He probably thinks he was just hitting pause on a movie while he gets up and fixes a snack. So I don't think he believes he ever left Daphne.

But I also doubt it will come to this. Daphne will probably be portrayed as being hung up on Blank and wanting him come hell or high water. This would be unfortunate, as I think this whole Blank/Daphne thing is becoming a major drag on her character. She's becoming nothing more than a dependant child. She clings to Blank because she thinks they need each other, when in fact she just likes him for his looks and he doesn't really need her at all. What Blank needs are his parents, and until he finds them he is not going to be able to hold a successful relationship nor be genuinely intimate with her. I remember a Daphne who was independent and made major decisions for the gang, that is, when the gang consisted of her, Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy. In those seasons she was an expert reporter, a courageous ghost chaser, and even an accomplished airplane pilot. So why is she being reduced to a foil for relationship jokes? It seems that her only purpose now is to be Blank's damsel in distress, to be "eye candy" for... some "fans", or to set up a string of disses and put downs from Blank to her. Breaking them up would be the best thing for Daphne.

    3. As I said, Scooby will probably accept Velma is she helps save Shaggy. I don't think Scooby should get a girlfriend. That's never really been his thing. Would the girl dog talk like Scooby-Dee? Or would it just be one of the regular dogs? I don't know what he'll do to get the gang back together. From the looks of those screenshots he does wind up on the farm. So he's going to have to escape that first. But how would he know where to go after that? Which is why I think Velma is going to play more of a role in this than Scooby. She's just merely "grounded". Not that difficult of an obstacle to overcome.

    4. I don't think Episode 27 will be a year later. It will probably be a few months, if that. They might even try to say that it's been two weeks. You know how time works in a cartoon, especially the Scooby-Doo universe. If the episode goes like how you said, I'd say it would be FAR outside the regular Scooby-Doo format (even for this show).

@Fantoma I'm betting that it was Velma who roped Shaggy into dating her, and he didn't want to hurt her feelings so he went along with it. On the issue of parents, I think Daphne's mother has a friendly relationship with Shaggy. I don't know if this was shown in any of the episodes but I know for sure that the online game has her calling him Norville and trusting him to take care of various tasks.

I agree on the Blank/Daphne thing, but I think the writers are carrying this on in order to make jokes about it. I don't think they're even trying to be serious. I mean, it's not even Fred they have her dating so...

  66. Episode 27 discussion SPOILER ALERT:

First of all YES THE SHERRIF IS BACK! I thought this episode was great, It was really deep when scooby said "I made a promise to my friends" and It was epic when he revealed that pericles survived. Daphne's personality change was heartbreaking but I know she'll pull through. I was also surprised that crybaby clown wasn't caught, definitely a first for scooby doo, anyone have any ideas who he is? (I have a feeling it's Mr E) haha wild guess. Based on what the translator said, these are givens for the next few episodes, hot dog water will join the gang, daphne will then come back after dumping baylor hotner, Velma will get a new boyfried, and fred's parents will return to crystal cove! We still have to see What became of Mr E and especially Ed machine though. I also wonder what the story arc will mostly be about once pericles is back in the picture. there must be a mystery having to do with the treasure! what do you guys think about all this? Also, Since this episode ended on a cliffhanger (as usual) with crybaby clown getting away, who do you think it is. I have a feeling It's Mr E and his motive is to blackmail the town into giving him money to fund his hunt for pericles. The reason for the rediculous costume is to stop tourism as well as acount for his size. maybe he did research and found the story of the previous clown that attack crystal cove (the one that fred mentioned). think about it, the attacks started after Mayor Jones' arrest which means the "Curse" (Mayor jones' threat) is over so Mr E is free to do whatever he wants. also remember Velma said that no one had seen Mr E since the night of Mayor Jones' arrest, suspicious if you ask me. What do you guys think about my theory? If you disagree, who do you think crybaby clown is and why?

  68. I saw it onDemand through Comcast cable. Maybe this is CN's way of testing the audience to see how many views it gets.

Anyway, I think it is better than the last season. The villain seems more like a common thug rather than something supernatural, but I think this is good. It's nice to see a straightforward villain who wears his motive on his sleeve.

There were only a few moments when I cringed. The parts with Scooby talking mostly. Frank Welker is not Scooby. Sorry. And the thing with Daphne dating a famous movie star seems implausible, but I guess I'm just glad she's not hung up on Blank anymore... *Sigh* ...or is she? -_-

The thing with Shaggy was tolerable. Wasn't too awkward or goofy.

Did anyone else notice the Frelma though? Or should I say, Blelma? Blama? Eh, I guess I'll stick with Frelma for now. She set up a "Fred" type trap which he appreciated, and he hugged her and said how great it was to see her. She also seemed to like the "PDA" as she called it. Maybe Velma will be the one to snap him out of his idiocy.

I don't know how I feel about Blank just stopping his quest for his parents so quickly though. It makes it seem like there was no reason for any of this to happen. If he was just going to give up so easily then why didn't he just stick around in the first place and avoid all this? Meh. I'm not surprised that the episode took a dip when Blank showed up.

But I do have to say that Velma is pretty good so far. She's nicer, she seems to take blame for covering for Angel (not that it would have made a difference), and she only hit Shaggy once. I guess I'm most displeased with Shaggy this time around. Scooby too. They didn't really do anything. Scooby talked about how he would get the gang back together but all he did was help Shaggy. Then they helped Blank, but it was Velma who set it all into motion.

Not a whole lot happened here, but it was still more fun to watch than the last episodes. I'll keep watching.

I think you could be right Peg. He's fat enough. But stopping tourism isn't his motive. Remember, hauntings are what people come to Crystal Cove to see. That's why he requested money in exchange for his haunting, which kind of doesn't make sense when you think about it. If they don't pay him, what will he do? Keep haunting the town? Well, then why pay him? Makes sense that Velma can't figure him out then.

If it is Mr E. then I'd say the reason he's doing this is because he's lost his mind. He knows he got played like a chump by Mayor Jones and Pericles. So now he's being a cry-baby about it. All his technology and inside info and yet he couldn't even beat a washed up mayor and a crazy bird. Pathetic.

  69. Yeah I agree, except I don't think fred is dumb, I just think he is smart in his own way, there are different kinds of intelligence, and thinking that daphne would come to the trap just shows his innocence. Also, calling him blank might be over-analizing, I don't think thats what the producers intended. As far as fraphne, I'm not addicted to it but I do think that fred was better off with daphne by his side (she really understood him) and It broke my heart to see that she changed.

  70. I... don't think I called Blank "dumb", but actually I think he was okay in this episode. He blamed himself so maybe he's starting to act responsible. I guess the only dumb thing was going door to door looking for his parents, but that was probably an attempt at a joke of some kind, so I can let it slide. His trap worked except for Daphne not being there. I guess it was kind of funny that he thought she would show up like what would usually happen in a cartoon, like "Hey everybody! I'm back because I realized this is where I belong!", and then everyone cheers. His thinking she would be there was a joke in the category of "genre savy".

Oh, I call him Blank because we don't know what his real name is yet, and it's probably not "Fred". I guess I could call him Chiles to avoid confusion.

I don't like Frephne, but I can tolerate it if it's done well. SDMI's attempts are just a complete train wreck. I don't think she ever understood him. I don't think anyone does, including Chiles. She just liked him for his looks. I liked how she told him off though. And like I said elsewhere, they should split up. Chiles needs to learn to be his own character, and I think Daphne's been through enough. She stuck with him through a ton of his crap and wanted to help him find his parents then he just discards her so he can go play a bum. If they make her go back to him it will be such an insult to the Daphne character. I would rather see Daphne as her own character, not the kind that clings to another, but rather does things on her own and makes her own mark on the series.

  71. Well, everyone has their opinion of fraphne, as for the chiles thing, everyone still calls him fred and he's still just another version of fred made for this seires. I think all 11 incarnations were a bit differnt. But just because he could have a different name doesn't mean he's a different character. In fact, Even if his parents had another name planned, I think he'll stick with fred bacause thats what his friends call him and it's important because of that. anyway based on what we know from Ilma, what do you think is too come. I think she said next episode we meet freds parents!

  72. Well if they call him Fred then I'll go back to calling him that, but I heard his real name is Michael Geoff Chiles, based on the two characters he was derived from when the show was going to be The Mysteries Five. It's just really unlikely that they named him Fred and his kidnapper was named Fred. I've heard the theory that Fred Jones Sr. was a fake name for the mayor, but even if Blank's name is "Fred" his last name is not Jones. This would contradict the rest of the series, and thus put SDMI in its own universe. Kind of like the different Spidermans or Green Lanterns. That's really the main reason why I accept season 2 of this show, because it's not canon. It's just for fun, like Get a Clue was. And I liked Get a Clue.

As for Frephne, I think NSD-Movies was the most tolerable. It was pretty well presented. It was overt and obvious, which I don't like, but it seemed like it was supposed to be there at that point in the series. Their relationship seemed like an interesting side story. Their PDA was "ugh" worthy, but it was acceptable.

  73. To add on to the discussion after seeing episode 27-fraphne arc:

Since the Velma/shaggy/scooby triangle seems to be getting along great this season (that warms my heart and I think shaggy will be happy for velma when she gets a boyfriend) and fred is getting support from those three, I'd like to discuss the fraphne a little (it was going so well at the end of last season). Now, I'm not addicted to fraphne, but I do think they are meant for each other (in this continuity) because daphne really understood fred and was at his side through rough times. I wonder if the fraphne arc will play into the mystery of season 2 just like how Velma's arc played into the mystery of season 1 with angel. I am also wondering how, even if fred and daphne do get back together or are "just friends" again, how daphne and velma will get along. Based on what we have seen so far, fraphne started out with daphne into fred with fred not noticing. later, they both made ajustments and fred started to notice daphne and daphne started to respect fred's love for traps. later, daphne was essential to be by fred's side with the trouble with his dad. I have to admit, I'm still wondering why fred and daphne couldn't have searched for fred's parents together, maybe it was a pride thing. When fred's parents come back to crystal cove (Ilma mentioned this) I wonder if it will trigger a conversation about the complicated events occering so far. I still just don't get though why daphne moved on so easily, maybe it was a pride thing as well. I hope we'll have emotions stirring, maybe even some crying (I hope), what do you guys think?

  74. Hmm... I can entertain the notion that they could work in certain AUs or timelines, but like I said, it has to be well done. To be fair, I would not accept Shaphne if it were not properly done either.

When you say "meant for each other", do you mean the writers wrote their characters in ways so that they are supposed to go together, or do you think their characteristics just happen to match up through no intention of the writers?

Yeah I'm just not sure about her understanding Chiles. It seemed to me like she could never figure out how to get through to him. It seemed she was just nice to him as much as she could be. Her sticking with him through tough times is a testament to her kindness, but not necessarily their relationship. Maybe the relationship was all just one sided, a case of her being dedicated to him but not the other way around. Also, if Chiles left her and called off the engagement, then doesn't that indicate that she didn't understand him? She tried to comfort him, and then he started getting possessive. She tried to help him look for his parents, but he rejected her help. And then in this new season she has given up on him.

The part about Chiles rejecting Daphne's help was confusing. If he wanted her to be with him (ride shotgun) then why didn't he involve her with his life? This just made me return to my previous assumption, that Chiles didn't really understand what an engagement was. Then I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I said, well, maybe he thinks he has to solve this problem on his own in order for him to feel like he is a capable and mature adult, and that he sees Daphne as a crutch. I had hoped he was doing it to take responsibility and to start acting like a man, and/or to keep Daphne out of danger. And that's what bothered me about this episode. First, he wasn't serious in his efforts. He was going door to door. Second, he gave up the search to go back to Crystal Cove and solve mysteries. ... WHY? Wasn't he the one who said Mystery Incorporated "isth" dead? And now he's back trying to solve mysteries and trying to get Daphne back into it. 0_o

I think Daphne moved on because she realized that she didn't understand Chiles at all, and that he did not really love her at all. So now she's out looking for a real boyfriend. The Laughtner parody won't be the one. That just seems dumb. Where are all the gossip reporters? You'd think a major star would have cameras swarming him all the time.

...He'll probably wind up being one of the masked villains.

  75. I was hoping episode 28 would be out today cause it's been a week since last friday! Because CN doesn't seem to care about scooby doo, they keep deleying stuff so I won't feel as good because it's when "they decided to air it" that I'll be watching it. You know, watching it early makes you feel special, right?-like "we totally showed cartoon network"-cause they probably made a mistake! Anyway, when do you think the next one will be online? will teletoon air it earlier? How about CN australia? I saw a promo on the website for CN australia and it said there would be new episodes this wednesday. Does anyone live or know anyone who lives in australia because it says you have to live in australia to see the promo on the site. that way, they could put it on you tube. I did see the thumbnail, and It looked new (not anything from the past 27 episodes) but I'm not sure. Why don't you guys check it out and try to find someone who lives in australia!

  76. Never mind, the promo has nothing to do with season 2 according to someone who replied to my post on another site, sorry!,

  77. Ilma, could you PLEASE tell us more about season 2! I saw the first episode last week, what will happen in future episodes like what monsters are there?

  78. Hi, I live in Australia and yeah your right, it's just a promo for Episode 24, not season 2. Thanks for the heads up though.

  79. Oh my God! I can't wait till episode 28 comes out! I think Crybaby Clown won't be caught till the season final or at least until one of the last episodes because i'm also one of them who believe Crybaby Clown is Mr. E for sure. So if we suppose he is the Clown, he won't be caught so quickly because it won't be interesting then...

    Likes(0)Dislikes(0)
  80. Yeah but he was almost caught in the last episode except there was no one there to drop the thing that would hold him. I doubt they will have him as the main villain or the one that keeps getting away until the end. I think that role is filled by Pericles.

If he is Mr. E then catching him in the next episode would be best, since that would set the direction of the season. After being caught he would reveal more of what the gang needs to do.

  81. Well the May premiere info has been released by CN and it has no mention of SD: MI. So it looks like we will be waiting awhile for the new season. Some say, that they might be waiting for Season 2 of 'The Looney Tunes Show' so they can air them side by side, but who knows. It's such a shame too, as new episodes would have been AWESOME. Oh well, let's just hope that CN have given up on SD: MI.

  83. Wow, I'm not sure if your serious or joking, lol. But I know what you mean. Even though SD: MI had received great ratings for season 1, they move it around, play with and keep it on hold for months, while other cartoons, like Young Justice, gets new episodes that have just been completed a month prior to airing!!! I mean come on. CN should be a lot more far with their shows. People like different things, and as along as they are pulling in the ratings, why keep it so long?
