  2. *Spoiler Alert For Episode 21*

I was right about Mr. E! Which this makes me doubly think that Mayor Jones is Brad, all clues point in that direction. Now the only missing member left is Judy.

Also towards the end did anyone notice the fortune teller machine looked like the same fortune teller from SDWAY.

  3. Yer it did I think the fortune teller was a thing. I'm so excited to see who the other members of mystery inc are! And also ((SPOILER) never done one of those before) What did Mr E mean by "The other two wont budge as long as Fred Jones is alive?" I'm thinking maybe the other two members are Fred's parents...

  4. Yeah I forget the episode name but it was a man disguised as a fortune teller, who disguised himself as Dracula, who then was disguised as Frankenstein's monster (What a confusing episode that was).

I agree though Brad and Judy have to be Fred's parents. I'm guessing what was meant was that as long as Fred is safe his parents won't get involved with this plot. I'd say at this point Cassidy's involvement with Mr. E is too make sure the kids don't get hurt.

I assume that what happened with the original MI was that Pericles betrayed Ricky and caused them to break up. Perhaps it was sort of like the Shaggy/Velma/Scooby triangle, Ricky chose Pericles over Cassidy, and everything went sour causing Pericles to betray Ricky. Or maybe they came into possession of one of the puzzle pieces and Pericles greed caused them to break up.

  5. It's a possibility, I won't deny it. But I don't know if judy is still alive... if the original gang decided to literally disappear without a trace, there has to be a good reason for it, and the death of one of the members could be it.
Ricky as Mr. E, now that I think of it, it was kind of obvious after episode 16, when Pericles said "The next move is yours, Mr. E".

And the bonus featuring Carlotta the Gypsy in it, It was very good. Plus, am I the only one that sees Hot Dog Water as an evil version of Velma, like from another dimension? (And I'm not saying this just because she's voiced by Linda Cardellini, who portrayed Velma in the live action movies, but also because of the way she dresses; the colour pattern of her clothes is pratically identical to Velma's)

  6. The new Scooby figures JUST came in the mail, and I must say, Daphne looks very much more like Daphne than I expected, even with the pictures.

  7. Yeah she's an alternate version of Velma, this is actually something that's occurred a number of times in the Scooby universe. For instance in WNSD there was an episode where a rival detective very similar to Velma (both in personality and appearance) was the villain.

As for Judy be dead or alive, I'd say more than likely she's alive (although since they haven't talked about her much she could be dead). Mr. E specifically mentioned two not budging and we know Pericles is actively after them, so he's not one of the two, so Brad and Judy are the only two members this could apply too, unless the writers are screwing with us and there's actually a sixth person involved. Also you have to consider whether or not the network would allow them to kill off a person. I mean sure in the past we've had implied deaths, but Judy's death would obviously have to be explained and so that might be crossing the line into too dark.

  8. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that about Hot Dog Water... I hope she comes back.

Well, crossing the line into too dark is practically what the series has been doing since almost the beggining in my opinion. This is by far the most serious series ever in the Scooby-Doo franchise.

And yeah, the writers could be screwing with our minds into thinking about something, and then come up with something entirely different.

  9. Yes this show has pushed the limits of darkness, but it hasn't completely jumped over the line. All shows now a days push limits but killing off a character would really be over the line here, especially considering the character is underage (Killing someone underage in a cartoon is really frowned upon).

  10. I think the sheriff is Brad. It makes the most sense to me. I think Mayor Jones is going to be the "big bad", who was the reason for the disappearance or something, but definitely not brad.

  11. This has been discussed many times, the thing is we've had no clues pointing to the sheriff. The mayor recognized Judy's locket and the sheriff didn't seem to. I guess there's a chance, but it would be pretty late in the game to just now start giving clues that he's Brad (Although TV has done much crueler things). The other revealed members of MI have been foreshadowed from early on and the sheriff has only been comedic relief, in fact his role in the show seems to have diminished lately (I'm not even sure I saw him in the last episode).

We've reached that point in the season though where whatever the outcome it's coming soon. Personally I'm more concerned about Judy, we haven't seen any clues for her whereabouts, all we know is that her locket was dropped in the caves below the city.

  12. OMG, yes! Episode 21 was so exciting!
I was a little surprised at the reveal of Mr. E's identity and now I'm feeling pretty confident that the Mayor is Brad, as some of you have mentioned before. But wow-- there was a lot in this episode and I can't wait for the next one!
I really appreciate how SD:MI really makes you think-- it's like a puzzle or a guessing game-- not at all like the other Scooby-Doo's where it's cut-and-dried, villain-of-the-week type of thing. The overarching plotline really gives it that something extra to look forward to each week.

  13. **PLEASE HOLD FOR MESSAGE FROM SCOOBY-DOOM**

My fellow scooby fans, I posted a theory not to long ago about angel dynamite being cassidy's daughter.
It has recently been brought to my attention that in a episode titled "menace of the manticore" that it was revealed that angel is actually cassidy herself.
I now realize that I was mistaken, for which I fully apologize, and am conferring with friend on how to proceed from here.
But know this I am not ashamed for having speculated, I still feel it was a good guess, there for I am nudging up to the table and a plate of crow is being placed in front of me.
Thank you and have a good day and may bob dress angelica.

  14. Strangely is right, there's no need to apologize, my friend. We all had our own theories.

  15. I know, just makin' a joke.
Tryin' to lighten the mood 'round here, we all get to serious...if you know what/who I mean?

  16. "Mayor Jones is Brad"

I don't think so. They don't look that much alike. I think Brad looks more like he could be related to Velma's mother, Angie Dinkley. They both have the same white stripe in their hair and freckles in the same place. I think they're siblings.

"What did Mr E mean by 'The other two wont budge as long as Fred Jones is alive?'"

Brad & Judy of course. The original Mystery Inc was a small group and only two of them were left unaccounted for after ep 21.
The Fred they're referring to could be our Fred... or his dad since they share the same name. Of course the question now is where Brad & Judy are.

  17. I think they might be refering to Fred's dad... I mean, why would "our" Fred even have to do in this equation? It doesn't make sense, now does it?

And you're right, I never thought of it, but Velma's dad looks a bit like Brad does. I wonder if he or Velma's mom know anything about it?

  18. I wouldn't give up on your theory just yet Scooby-Doom. It's possible that Angel is just lying to Velma about being Cassidy in order to use her (planted mic). Why hasn't she told the others yet? Because it's not safe? How is them knowing put them or her in danger?

The only thing is that she says something about "our old gang" to Mr E. who is Ricky Owens. This might mean the "original" misery stink gang, or it could mean a gang of henchmen.

It just seems to me like they're working toward a "plot twist" with Angel. She was always the obvious suspect for being Cassidy, and when Velma confronted her about being Cassidy she didn't seem shocked or surprised by it. More like "Hmm, how can I use this to my advantage" kind of thing.

I also think Angel seems to be more of a relative of Cassidy, not Cassidy herself. But then again, we're thinking about this show logically. Misery Stink isn't logical in any aspect.

  19. Oh, and on topic...

I actually saw a "Mystery Machine" when I was at the post office yesterday. It looked similar to the one in this picute but I think it was a type of minivan painted to look like the MM.
