Update #2: Title of Next Scooby Movie Confirmed{Now With Pics}

We finally have a title for the next Direct To DVD Scooby movie. In a recent interview with Crave Online,  Matthew Gray Gubler mentions that he’s been cast in Scooby-Doo! Attack of the Phantosaur as a paleontologist “who’s helping to unearth the mystery of the Phantosaur”.

Crave Online: Do you have any other voice work coming up?

Matthew Gray Gubler: I do! “Alvin and The Chipmunks.” I play Simon for the third time in “Chip-Wrecked.” And Andrea Romano cast me in the new “Scooby-Doo” movie called “Attack of the Phantosaur.”

Crave Online: Are you playing the Phantosaur?

Matthew Gray Gubler: I play a paleontologist who’s helping to unearth the mystery of the Phantosaur.”

Of course there’s no release date yet but I’ll let you know as soon as that becomes avaliable! Update: The actual title of the movie is “Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur“. Here’s a look at the DVD box art. Update 2: Here’s some screenshots from the trailer that was on the Curse of the Lake Monster release. Sorry for the terrible quality.

  2. They need to start drawing Daphne better. All the characters looks great in the new movies, but Daphne always sucks. Her face never looks the same from a frame to another...

  3. Ahhh! I am so excited now!!
    I feel like I've been waiting FOREVER for more Scooby. (DTVs or Scooby Doo Mystery Inc...just any new Scooby-Doo will do!)

    Hopefully there won't be any random girls to steal away Fred's attention from Daphne in this movie. Those two seriously need to get together. ;)

  7. I agree with Ilma, they need to start drawing Daphne better. She doesn't look good. They also need to drop this thing with the flesh colored eyes. Come on, we're so past that era.

    @LilacScoob and other Frephne-ites,
    Uh... isn't the fact that Fred ignores Daphne and looks at other girls proof that he's not a good match for her? I don't remember Shaggy ever doing that when he was dating Daphne. Heh heh heh.

    Seriously, WB needs to give it up on Frephne. They were never meant for each other. Shaggy and Daphne have always been and still are the most alike. That's why at the end of the series (13GSD) they live together and sleep in the same bed. :D

    Shaggy+Daphne 4 life! Believe it!

  10. Thanks for the link Amal.

    @Alysson
    Not at all. Shaggy and Daphne have been an official couple since 1984. But their chemistry goes all the way back to the first episode. Believe it!
