DVD News: New Spooky Tales, Plus A Scooby Doo Puppet Movie?

A new Spooky Tales DVD is on its way. Scooby-Doo: 13 Spooky Tales Run for Your Rife contains twelve epiosdes from six different Scooby series plus a brand new halloween themed episode, “Scooby-Doo! and the Spooky Scarecrow”. TvShowsOnDVD has the details.

In the all-new original 22-minute episode, Scooby-Doo! and the Spooky Scarecrow, Scooby-Doo and the rest of the ghost-busting gang visit a quiet farm town where everyone prepares for the annual Halloween harvest celebration. Of course, things are not as quiet as they seem, since the town’s creepy cornfield is plagued by a scarecrow brought to life by a witch’s curse! Will our always-hungry heroes, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, be able to stop gulping down goodies long enough to solve this mystery?

In other news, online DVD club ColumbiaHouse, com a few weeks back posted a listing for a DVD titiled Scooby-Doo! Adventures: The Mystery Map!. No details were avaliable other than a July 25th release date, but they did post this artwork which shows it to be some type of “puppet movie”.

Columbia House has since removed the listing. It’s possible that the listing was a mistake, or that the DVD has been delayed. But I’ll update as more info becomes avaliable.

  1. Delayed? It looks so cool! I just hope it’s not for pre-school audiences and definitely NOT the Dora – Diego style!
