Scooby will once again have a presence at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. On Sunday, July 24th, supervising producers Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone and producer Mitch Watson will present a screening of the season one finale of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated and a Q&A on SD:MI Season 2. Hopefully they’ll have some good free swag like last year.

1:00-2:00 Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated Screening and Q&A—The gang from Crystal Cove is packing up its best traps and bringing them to San Diego, and it’s no mystery as to why fans have embraced this most recent take on Scooby-Doo from Warner Bros. Animation. Supervising producers Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone (both veterans of Duck Dodgers) and producer Mitch Watson (Ben 10: Race Against Time) present a special screening of the first-season finale and a lively panel discussion on the adventures that await Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma in season two. Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated airs Tuesdays at 7:30 E & P/6:30 C on Cartoon Network and the original movie Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur will be released on DVD September 13. Room 6A

  1. Great!...and awww.
I was hoping they would show an ep or 2 from season 2.
But on the other hand, WWWWOOOOOOOOO scooby's back at comic-con.

Hopefully we get some news about when season 2 will air.

  2. Can someone bring up that those of us who DO like Shaggy and Velma are extremely horrified at how these characters are treated (and we want them together?! Hell if you need to point them to LJ and they can see the damage they've done!) and we're sick of Daphne being over sexualized (remember her nightgown?!)

Seriously I wish I could be there because I'd chew them all new assholes because honestly for all the good, its equally bad.

  3. I didn't think the nightgown was that bad... I mean this is in no way the first time they've done things like that. And I don't mind the Velma/Shaggy thing, it's nice to see them trying new things rather than treading the same ground for 40 years. Plus they pretty much ended that relationship completely, so for those who are tired of it its gone.

Still though I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves for season 2!

  4. Well, I'd have a bigger problem with the night gown if not for the fact that they did bust into her room.

I don't like velma, but I have no problem with shag.

  5. The nightgown is a non-issue. And Shaggy and Velma are fine, my only complaint is that Velma should be a little nerdier/brainier.
