Scooby-Doo and the Witch’s Ghost: A Retrospective: Part 2

WitchsGhost

I remember when Scooby-Doo and the Witch’s Ghost came out. This was pretty early on in my Scooby fandom. It wasn’t the first Scooby thing I saw obviously, but it was one of the earliest. Actually, I admit I didn’t like this movie when it came out. I preferred more classic Scooby back then. But like Zombie Island, it has grown on me over the years. Is it as good as Zombie Island? Well, I think one half of Witch’s Ghost is good, the other half is much, much better.

Scooby-Doo and the Witch’s Ghost: A Retrospective: Part 1

witchs_ghost

Has it really been 15 years already?

Scooby-Doo and the gang visit Oakhaven, Massachusetts to seek strange goings on involving a mysterious horror novelist and his ancestor who is rumored be a witch.

I’m not 100% positive, but given the release date of this movie, this might well have been my first exposure to Scooby animation. Which might actually explain my undying love for this movie and The Hex Girls. I’m not going to bury the lead here, still to this day, this is by far my absolute favorite Scooby movie. If that’s all you want to know, you can stop reading now.

The Top 10 Scooby Movies

With it being the 45th anniversary of Scooby today, I’d thought I’d share my top ten Scooby movies. If you want to see my Top 5 Scooby series, check out this week’s Question of the Week.

10. Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed

Top10_10
Monsters Unleashed makes the Top 10 not because it’s the best of the franchise, but because it’s nice to see the classic villains in live action. Plus there’s Mathew Lillard’s spot-on performance as Shaggy.

9/ Scooby-Doo! in Where’s My Mummy?
